Rick Lawrence receives Teck Environmental Award at the Conference of Metallurgists, Montreal, October 2011

The Teck Environmental Award has been established by Teck to promote innovation and development on the field of environmental control for the metallurgical industry in Canada.  The Award recognizes significant contributions to the environmental science and engineering and sustainable development  in the metallurgical industry.

Rick received the award “in recognition of his significant contributions to the field of environmental science and engineering in the area of Acid Rock Drainage. (His) research in the area of ARD has advanced the knowledge of prediction methods, improved waste management practices, and developed new water treatment methods.”
